Broodmares during the first three lactation months

Use REVERDY YEARLING and hay or grass if available.

It is necessary to switch back to REVERDY YEARLING or REVERDY YEARLING WITH FLAKES richer in protein and to double the daily intake. All your attention must focus on the mare’s nutrition the first three months of lactation. From the 4th month, the foal himself must be fed. We suggest to breeders using traditional feed (oat, barley, hay) to use REVERDY MINERAL which has been specifically designed for this type of ration. We advise these breeders to add soyabean meal to their mare’s diet during the first three months of foal.

Foals

REVERDY FOALY is especially elaborated to feed foals before and at the weaning time. This feed, composed with milk and rich in protein, is the ideal feed to complete the mare’s milk and make the transition with the REVERDY YEARLING

REVERDY YEARLING or REVERDY YEARLING WITH FLAKES are products containing 15% total proteins, 14% digestible proteins. This relatively high content in protein is necessary to the growth and muscle build up of the young horse.

REVERDY YEARLING PLUS or REVERDY YEARLING PLUS WITH FLAKES are same products as REVERDY YEARLING or REVERDY YEARLING WITH FLAKES but for one difference, we include glucosamine and MSM for join protection. This provides to the growing horse an appropriate and efficient protection of his cartilages.

FOALS FROM 2 MONTHS OLD: Provide foals with REVERDY FOALY. In a small place not reachable by the mares put some FOALY morning and evening. Quantity to vary depending on consumption and condition of the foals. A handful to begin with to reach around 2 kilos a day close to weaning.

FOALS FROM WEANING TO 1 TO 2 MONTHS AFTER WEANING: We advise our clients to keep giving REVERDY FOALY for one or two months after weaning. This to avoid a sudden stop in supply of milk at the same time as the traumatic weaning. The daily intake will be 2 kilos in two helpings minimum, with good quality hay, pure salt stone and clean water. After this period, switch to REVERDY YEARLING or REVERDY YEARLING WITH FLAKES or REVERDY YEARLING PLUS or REVERDY YEARLING PLUS WITH FLAKES with the same quantity.

YEARLING UNTIL BEGINNING OF TRAINING PERIOD: 2 to 3 kg of REVERDY YEARLING or REVERDY YEARLING WITH FLAKES or REVERDY YEARLING PLUS or REVERDY YEARLING PLUS WITH FLAKES per day with good quality hay, pure salt stone, and clean water.

Level 1

The REVERDY cereal balancer and REVERDY cereal balancer WITH FLAKES are specially elaborated to make up for the deficiency in protein, minerals and vitamins in cereals. The high level of digestible protein (DE) minerals and vitamins make them particularly suited for horses in reproduction, in work or at rest. We recommend giving between 1 and 1.5 kg of flaked balancer, or between 0.5 and 1 kg of balancer, to be added to the horse’s ration of cereal. (Take care not to give over these recommended quantities).

REVERDY MINERAL is specially designed to rebalance mineral and vitamin deficiencies in cereals. The Calcium /phosphorous ratio is 3 which corrects the unbalance in cereals.
